InterLink’s Regional Employment Forecast supplements the three Workforce Solutions Boards in North Central Texas by providing a 16 county Regional Employment Forecast determined by an annual survey of employers.

We encourage all employers in the sixteen-county region to participate in the confidential survey conducted annually, since 1987.

The North Central Texas Region comprises Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise Counties.

InterLink also provides labor market services to schools in Grayson County.

This covers the north-central portion of Texas and includes some of the state’s most densely populated urban areas with more than four times as many people per square mile as the Texas average, which is growing at a faster rate than the state and most areas of the nation.

As shown in the following Regional Commute Pattern Graphic, a regional labor market forecast is important because the workforce is highly mobile and reflects the need for highly skilled employees for the occupations most in demand by employers throughout the sixteen-county region.
